Thrift Library is working on building the Anderson University Archive.
Planned projects include:
- Procuring and populating an institutional repository
- Digitization of materials
- Establishing student internships

The archive includes special collections for:
- Dr. Annie Dove Denmark, former AU president and South Carolina’s first female college president
- Johnny Mann, a Grammy Award-winning composer, arranger, and friend of AU
- Manse Jolly, Anderson native; Confederate Army soldier
- Lily Strickland, Anderson native; a composer, writer, and painter
A limited number of AU archival items are currently available online via the Internet Archive. Most items can be searched on the AU ArchivesSpace catalog. Please note this catalog is still under construction. Contact Kenzie Barnett for more information and/or to access the AU Archive.
Thrift Library is interested in procuring items that directly relate to the history of Anderson University. Please contact the Collection Management Librarian, Kenzie Barnett, to discuss potential donations before bringing them to the library.
Monetary donations are gratefully appreciated and can be made online. Enter designation: Other - Thrift Library - Archive. Donations will be used to fund:
- Shelving and preservation materials
- Student employees to work in the archive
- Professional development for archive staff
- Digitization of archival materials
