AU Archive

Thrift Library is working on establishing an official Anderson University Archive.

Planned projects include:

  • Providing open access to an archival information system
  • Procuring and populating an institutional repository
  • Digitization of materials
  • Establishing student internships

You can read more about our efforts in these AU News articles: Archiving More than a Century of Memories and Anderson Memorabilia Presentation Part of Arts and Sciences Showcase.

Thrift Library is interested in procuring items that directly relate to the history of Anderson University. Please contact the Collection Management Librarian, Kenzie Barnett, to discuss potential donations before bringing them to the library.

Monetary donations can be made online. Enter designation: Other - Thrift Library - Archive. Donations will be used to fund:

  • Shelving and preservation materials
  • Student employees to work in the archive
  • Professional development for Archive staff
  • Digitization of archival materials

A limited number of AU archival items are currently available online via the Internet Archive. Most items can be searched on the AU ArchivesSpace catalog. Please note this catalog is still under construction. Contact Kenzie Barnett for more information and/or to access the AU Archive.
