The Anderson University Special Collections preserve history for current and future generations and can be accessed via Thrift Library. They include collections for:
- Dr. Annie Dove Denmark, former AU president and South Carolina’s first female college president
- Johnny Mann, a Grammy Award-winning composer, arranger, and friend of AU
- Manse Jolly, Anderson native; Confederate Army soldier
- Lily Strickland, Anderson native; a composer, writer, and painter
